Operational Rope Rescue Concepts
WHAT MAKES US
DIFFERENT?
With a
firm foundation formed, we start to build the frame work that brings
the rescue house alive. In Operational Rope Rescue Concepts,
students begin to apply the fundamental elements of rescue as this
scenario based learning forces them to look at the big
picture. The class starts with walk through teaching
scenarios and finishes with full scale student action
scenarios. It is one thing to sit and learn about rope rescue
and a completely different one to apply the concepts across a broad
range of applications. Scenarios, concept briefs, critiques, and
feedback make this an intensive learning experience for all those
involved, instructors and students. Don't be fooled this is the most
advanced concept class you will ever take.
Topics Covered Include: Compound & complex systems, ascending and descending overcoming obstacles, multi-point and pitched anchoring systems, system resource depletion exercise, Low through High angle litter operations, lowering and raising overcoming obstacles, etc. (Download Outline of Topics)
Class Requirements: You may notice in our topics covered that ropes, knots, and
simple systems are not present. Those MUST be mastered before
entering this class or we will ask you to return when you are
ready. Do you have to receive that training through us? Absolutely not, we are not the end all of training, but we can help you get ready, BEFORE the class begins. This is not a time to refresh on your basic skills, this is an intensive solution based training. Each student must demonstrate the knowledge neccessary before continuing in the class. |
