Advanced Rope Rescue Techniques WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Students
should have a
firm
grasp on fundamentals and operational concepts before taking this course.
We take that understanding and begin to put new
tools in the tool box of the advanced rescue technician. This is where
you learn multiple ways to handle specific operations, giving you
a broader scope to work from. We also focus on the development
and on-scene operation of your own rescue team. You will also
be able to recognize and correct systems that have been created
by others.
Topics Covered Include:
Advanced litter operations such as; litter scoop, multiple
person attending, vertical to horizontal, high to steep or low angle conversion, etc. Personnel will also learn team development, coordination, and training techniques. Advanced systems, including single and multiple line compound and complex systems. Equipment depletion. System recognition correction. Floating anchors, aritificial high points, advanced edge protection, etc.s
Class Requirements: Must have completed and passed the Fundamentals and Operational classes or equivalent. Documentation and demonstration of skills will be necessary to continue. Without these, you will not be able to continue with the course. |
